Bill Hackney has been a graphic designer/Illustrator in the Baltimore and DC area for over 30 years. He has been employed at Staiman Design for the past 17 years and has managed all aspects and procedures involved in the print process as well as a hands on approach to design and illustration. More than twenty years experience with computer graphics and layout programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and Indesign.

Staiman Design 

(1996-present) Art Director, Designer/Illustrator/Retoucher, worked directly with clients from conception to completion on a diverse variety of projects. 

Extensive illustration and photo retouching.

    

Procter & Gamble (1995-96)

Process coordinator, hired under contract to restage Cover Girl line of cosmetics for product entry into Canada. Coordinated all design and production of packaging and shipping materials.

                                

Adgenda Marketing (1990-1994) Co-owner, Produced ads, collateral pieces, logos, flip charts etc. Clients include: Athletic Express, Beltway Plaza Mall, Bethesda Software, St. John Properties

 

Cornerstone (1985-1989) Art Director, designed & produced print materials, ads, brochures, directed printing and photographers.Clients include: Terps Basketball, Bays Soccer, Baysox Softball, CIA

 

Jack Brahms & Associates (1983-1985) Art Director, was brought in to build and direct the print department needed to support its TV and radio ads. At the time, I left the print portion had risen from 20% to 80% of the work coming out of the agency. Clients include: Mercy Hospital, Carpetland, Maryland Teachers Association, Baltimore Spice company. 

 

Baltimore Gas & Electric (1982-1983) Sr. Designer, Designed and produced print media including; company profile brochure, bill stuffers, customers promotions and inter-company support materials. 

 

Thompson Recruitment: Sr. Designer (1977-1981), Recruitment Division of J. Walter Thompson, Senior Designer, Cranked out recruitment ads and collateral pieces at a dizzying pace. Produced tight comps for client presentation to be put together by our production department. Clients include: Northrop Grumman, Wendy’s, Burger King.
